Unilag Postgraduate 2014/2015: Course and Lectures Details

Someone asked this question and I decided to provide detailed answer to all those who are asking the same questions.

Question: "Pls I'll really love to find out info on M.Sc. Management"

1. The Quality and Delivery of the course.

Unilag pg is very competitive and stressful, but enjoyable if you have the time for lectures. As every other thing in Nigeria the courses are delivered via class work and assignment, projects and research.

There is more of learning to pass exams attitude than actually teaching for the marketplace.
The standard is high but still purely academics.

You will be expected to do so many assignments and projects during each semesters.
Test and continuous assessment is part of the grading.

Another trend in Unilag PG I noticed is that almost all lecturers have a textbook, they used for their course written by them. So while the school prohibits the sales of handout, you have no choice but to buy the lecturers book, which usually varies from N1k-N3k.

Be ready to buy as least 4-5 of such books each semesters.

2. Learning mode:

The Unilag PG is shared into part time and full time for some selected course MBA to be specific we have Executive.

Part time are usually during the evenings or weekend for some course and full time are expected to come to class during the day like normal undergraduates students.

Both have their challenges, pro and con

3.The overall course Duration:

For full time the duration is 18 months (about 3 semester)
For part time is 24 months for all courses (about 4 semesters)

4. The Fees for both.

Fees varies for full time and part time.

Full time fees rages from N60k-N80k for most course
PART TIME fees ranges from N100k-N400k
Executive is N1.2M

In Unilag MBA students pays the highest fees
