How to pay Acceptance Fees and Tuition Fees - Unilag Postgraduate(M.Sc/Masters & Pgd) Admission 2016/2017

The Registration and screening exercise for Postgraduate(M.Sc/Masters & Pgd) will commerce by Monday 11th January 2016. That is no longer news, what is news is that many student still dont know how to go about paying for their fees acceptance and tuition.

There are other fees associated with Pg screening, which I will cover in the post.

First thing first printing your payment advise as I showed step step here how to download it.
Then next is payment of acceptance fees = N61,500 and Tuition fees.

I advise you dont pay them together, because they are actually different.

Many want to go for Unilag Pg instalmental payment option. which attract a little interest but if you ask me, its very ok, if you are low on cash  at the moment.

Acceptance fees payment:

The acceptance fees for all course is N61, 500. its non- refundable and negotiable.
The is the first fee you paid before any other. its shows you locked down the admission.

Unilag gives 6 weeks for you to pay this fee, of forfeit your admission. (hope its not a bluff)

You can pay Online or pay direct into a bank.

Online Payment for Acceptance & Tuition fees

you an use your laptop  or go to any bank that offer online payment facility in their premises like GTB and use it for this transaction. you can also use ATM to do this in the bank premises. sms and receipt will be generated for you as normal procedures

STEPS:

1. On your student dashboard page there is a session that shows PAY ONLINE.

2. Click on it and it gives you options to pay either acceptance fees or tuition fees. if you want to pay both you can tick both.-the fees are already indicated there. just chose what you want

3. There is option to pay through transgate showing cards to pay with e.g master card, verve card etc chose one

4. It display where to fill in your details and submit

5. N500 charges are deducted from you as bank charge

6. As soon as you submit 2 things happens, an sms is sent to your phone of successful payment

7. A receipt is generated within your dashboard which you can click to view and then download to your computer

8. Print it out for verification exercise.

Normal Bank Payment

This is the normal bank payment we all are used to. The disadvantage is that is cumbersome and stressful. The banks inside Unilag for now are the only banks used for this purpose. hence the ONLINE payment is enjoying massive patronage.

The bank charges here is N250 compared to N500 for online payment.

The banks for these transaction are:

1. GTB
2. ZENITH BANK
3. FIRSTBANK
4. ACCESS BANK
5. Wema Bank
6. UBA bank
7. Ecobank

Payment for Prospectus N5,000

To pay for this you need to go to Unilag Pg school ROOM 5 inside Unilag Akoka and pay physically for the prospectus, you will be given a receipt for this purpose.

  6. Hi Dan,
The online payment on the portal for Tranzgate is not processing payments for tuition. Only PG acceptance was processed successfully. The error when I tried is "Amount Exceed Limit" I have tried severally, same error. I used different bank, same error. I even called my banker...he checked my card and confirmed the blocking is not coming from the bank.
