ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES TO RESUME AT UNILAG, MONDAY, JUNE 18
The University of Lagos Senate at its Emergency Meeting of Monday, June 11, 2012 convened to review the recent suspension of academic activities, resolved that:
1. a. all academic activities should resume on Monday, June 18, 2012.
b. accordingly, the Halls of Residence will be re-opened on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 4.00 p.m.
2. The University Senate also resolved that:
a. “the proposed re-naming of the University of Lagos is not acceptable and is rejected in its entirety as it is a mere declaration of intention with no legal effect.
b. the University of Lagos Senate supports all legal processes being carried out by all stakeholders on the subject”.

This is talking tough, lets see how the federal govt will respond to this.
The last has not been heard from this re-naming saga...
