Some Universities in Nigeria are gradually going global and computer compliance as far as exams are concern.

University of Lagos was the first to initial the computer base test for their post UTME exams some years ago. Other schools has since joined the fora.

For students writing the Unilag post Ume  exams 2012, note that the test is computer base.
Many students complained that they dont know what is all about.

I decided to give a tip here.

Format of  Computer Base Test

The format of a computer-based test does not differ from the paper one – candidates complete a test with a keyboard and mouse, that's all.

The main advantages of computer-based tests are user-friendliness and the results will be out within 12hours.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Every candidate has access to a computer. Candidates answer the questions that appear on the screen and
there is a quick tutorial before the test which explains how to navigate the program.

 This is to inform all candidates that wrote the 2012/2013 Post-UTME for Kaduna State University:  KASU 2012/2013 Post-UTME  that the results for the screening test have been released.

Candidates can now check their results online and right now by using their Jamb Registration Number and the PIN Number used during registration.

UNLILAG POST GRADUATE UPDATES: NOTICE ON EXTENSION OF SALE OF APPLICATION FORMS FOR UNILAG POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Unilag  School of Postgraduate Studies hereby extends the sale of applications forms for suitably qualified candidates from recognized institutions for admission into Full-Time, Part-Time and Sandwich Postgraduate programmes of the University leading to the award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters Degrees by Coursework, Professional Master Degrees, Master of Philosophy Degrees and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees in the 2012/2013 Session, from Monday, June 11 to Friday, July 20, 2012.



 GUIDELINES FOR FILLING THE APPLICATION FORM:

1. Visit the School of Postgraduate Studies website: www.unilagspgs.edu.ng, click on the 2012/2013 application.

2. Click the pre-application form link; provide the required information and submit to obtain a Payment Voucher.  You are expected to print out the payment voucher.

3. Make Payment to any branch of WEMA BANK Plc, ECOBANK Plc, ACCESS BANK Plc, UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA Plc, ZENITH BANK Plc, GUARANTY TRUST BANK Plc and FIRST BANK Plc. (Details of the designated Bank branches are listed on-line at the SPGS website.

Applicants are expected to provide printed payment voucher for bank payments. Payment for Application Form is N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira.4. After payment, return to School of Postgraduate Studies website: www.unilagspgs.edu.ng, click the 2012/2013 Application link, then Application Form link, login with Payment Reference Number as username and provide surname in lowercase as password.

5. Click the Edit Application form link to fill the Application form and upload digital passport photograph (jpeg format) which should not be more than 15 kb in size and must be in white background.  The acceptable dimension is width: 275 pixels or 35mm, height: 314 pixels or 40mm. (Failure to comply with specified image format may lead to disqualification.)

6. Click “SUBMIT FORM” button if the information is correct, else, click DECLINE button.  After submission, applicants will be required to print the completed Application Form and Acknowledgement Slip. This will be required for submission before entrance examination.

7. Candidates are required to LAMINATE their Acknowledgment Slip after printing.

Note

Kindly note that if payment is not made five (5) days after obtaining payment voucher, the pre-application would be deleted.  Applicants will then be expected to refill the pre-application form to obtain a new payment voucher.

All academic Transcripts must reach the Deputy Registrar/Administrative Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies on or before the beginning of registration.

All M.Phil/Ph.D. candidates must contact the Department for availability of Supervisors/vacancies before applying.

Completed application forms are to be submitted online not later than Friday, July 20, 2012.

Hard copies of the Application Forms with Credentials are to be submitted in the respective Departments.

Federal University Lokoja Post Ume Exams Updates: Fulokoja 2012/2013 Post-UTME - Federal University Lokoja - Screening Form, Dates and Venue is Out

We hereby announce that all candidates who made the Federal University Lokoja, Fulokoja, their First Choice Institution and scored the required minimum of 180 and above at the 2012 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Exercise (UTME) that the Post-UTME Screening exercise is scheduled to hold on Saturday 16th June, 2012 (This Saturday);

How to Register

Candidates who qualify for the screening exercise are required to pay the sum of two thousand naira (N2,000) only into Fulokoja's Official Account using the details below:

Bank – First Bank Plc;
Account Name – Federal University Lokoja
Account no - 2018447343

Once payment has been made, candidates should proceed to the Temporary Office of the University located opposite Government House, G.R.A. Lokoja for registration and the collection of Examination cards not later than one (1) day to the examination (15th June).

You are to come along with the following for the registration:

1. Bank Teller of the payment of N2,000;
2. Original JAMB registration slip;
3. Original JAMB result slip.
4. Two passport size photographs;

Candidates are also to come along with the following to the venue of the Post-UTME exercise:

- Duly signed Examination cards
- Scientific Calculators
- HB Pencil
- Eraser

Candidates should also note that:

1. Mobile handsets and foreign materials are prohibited at the venue of the Post-UTME exercise.

UPDATE UNILAG POST UME LIVE QUESTIONS EXAMS 2012

Eligibility

1. Unilag hereby calls on All candidates who scored 200 and above and have made UNILAG their FIRST CHOICE Institution, in the United Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) for the screening.

2. In addition, the candidates must possess five(5) credit passes in relevant O’level subjects including Mathematics and English Language at ONE sitting.

3. Candidates awaiting results are also eligible.

Candidates, who will not be sixteen(16) years of age by 31st October, 2012 are not eligible.

Registration

Candidates who fulfill the above criteria are to buy scratch cards for N1,000.00 at the following banks within Lagos or around the school premises:

• ECOBANK, 
• FIRST BANK,
• UNION BANK, 
• ZENITH BANK, 
• ACCESS BANK, 
• UBA BANK
• WEMA BANK. 

Once the scratch card has been obtained, you are to follow instructions on the registration scratch card to print your e-registration slip for the screening exercise.

Ensure you also purchase your result checking scratch card for N500 only.

Please note that Registration for Post-UTME will close on Thursday July 5, 2012

The Screening Exercise is Computer-Based Test (CBT) in the Use of English, Mathematics and General Paper. The general paper will likely contain general knowledge questions, a bit of current affairs with quantitative and qualitative analysis.

UNILAG RENAMING UPDATES: Academic Activities to Resume at Unilag, June 18th, Rejects Re-naming of School

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES TO RESUME AT UNILAG, MONDAY, JUNE 18

The University of Lagos Senate at its Emergency Meeting of Monday, June 11, 2012 convened to review the recent suspension of academic activities, resolved that:




1. a. all academic activities should resume on Monday, June 18, 2012.
b. accordingly, the Halls of Residence will be re-opened on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 4.00 p.m.

2. The University Senate also resolved that:
a. “the proposed re-naming of the University of Lagos is not acceptable and is rejected in its entirety as it is a mere declaration of intention with no legal effect.
b. the University of Lagos Senate supports all legal processes being carried out by all stakeholders on the subject”.

Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta Post Ume 2012/2013 Result Updates: FUNAAB Cut-off Marks for 2012/2013 Post UTME Out!

Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta Post Ume 2012/2013 Result is out.

 Information coming in from FUNAAB speculate that the school is most likely to set an average Cut-off Mark of 50% and above for the 2012/2013 Admission List.

 FUNAAB is known to be quite strict with admission. However students have started checking their results and are having mixed feeling on their chances for admission.

 Though this information has not yet been confirmed, premium courses like Engineering is  expected to be as high as 60% and above.We also gathered that most management courses cut-off is 40%.

How to Calculate Your FUNAAB Composite Score/Marks for 2012/2013 Post UTME

After the released of  her Post UTME exams conducted some few hours ago,  FUNAAB  students are frantically looking for a way to predict their chances for admission this session 2012/2013 into the university.

If you have not yet seen the FUNAAB Post Ume 2012/2013 results check Here.

I promised to post the calculation for the composite score after the exams.

Below  the calculation process.

The computation goes like this:

Step 1: (SSCE Result)
A1=6
B2=5
B3=4
C4=3
C5=2
C6=1
Assuming you scored all those grades as the scores you scored
in the five subjects you submitted. . .
Then your computation for the 1st step would be
(6+5+4+3+2+1=21)
Then:
21/30 * 20/1= (14)

Step 2: (JAMB Result)
Assuming you scored 180 as your score. . .

Then: 180/8 = (10)

Step 3: (PUTME Result)
Assuming you scored 50%. . . . . .
Then:
50/100 * 30/1 = (15)

For the aggregate score. . .
Step1 score + Step2 score + Step3

Then:
14 + 10 + 15 = 39%

Or simple done:

Your Jamb score/8,
Your post Utme/3,
Ann your 0' level result is all over 30 i.e if you've 5A! i.e 5*6!

Quite simply - just Divide your jamb score by 8 and multiply your post ume by 0.3
and add your 0' level in this format A1- 6 B2- 5 B3- 4 C4- 3 C5- 2 C6- 1
so if u score 3 a1 and 2 b3 in ur o level, add it dis way 6+6+6+4+4=26

AND ADD EVERYTHING together....you get your mark.

JAMB+PUME+O LEVEL -CUTOFF MARK.

And then I guessed they will consider the aggregate scores based on the request of the each department. . .

All 2012/2013 UTME candidates who applied to Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma as Institution of First Choice, with a UTME score of 180 and above are invited to attend a screening exercise in the University on the days and venues indicated below.

Screening Time-Table:

The screening exercise for the various Faculties is scheduled to take place on the following dates at 9.00 am each day.

Applicants are required to purchase an eTranzact PIN (Payment Voucher) for Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma post UTME on-line application form at a fee of Two thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only from any of the under listed Banks Nation Wide.

Procedure for Online Application

Only candidates with their names on the cPortal as uploaded from the JAMB first choice list are eligible to make payments at the designated banks and also participate in the Ambrose Alli University post UTME screening exercise.
Consequently, candidates are advised to first check the Ambrose Alli University cPortal at www.myaau.com for their details by logging on to the cPortal with their JAMB UTME Registration number as access code. Such details containing the student’s bio data and AAU application number should be printed out by the candidates and used as payment instruments at the banks for the purchase of the eTranzact PIN.

On purchase of the eTranzact PIN (Payment Voucher), all candidates are to visit the Ambrose Alli University college cPortal @ www.myaau.com to complete and submit the post UTME online application form.

All such candidates must upload their coloured passport photograph and scanned copies of all relevant certificates/documents to the cPortal.

Candidates should preview and confirm that the passport photograph is properly uploaded as no complaint of wrong or blank picture will be entertained after submission of forms. Candidates are to print out a copy of the application form with their passport photograph for presentation along with other documents on the screening dates stated above.

All candidates are to come to the venue of the screening exercise with the following:
1. UTME e-registration slip and UTME result slip.
2. HB pencil, eraser and biro.
3. A print-out of the duly completed post UTME Online Application form.

Direct Entry:

All Direct Entry Candidates who applied to JAMB for admission and chose Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma as Institution of First Choice are also required to complete the online application form for their screening exercise. All such candidates must upload scanned copies of all relevant certificates/documents to the cPortal. The manual screening exercise for Direct Entry (DE) candidates is scheduled to place from Monday, 2nd July 2012 to Friday, 6th July, 2012 from 9.00 am each day.
Please be informed that there shall be no Direct Entry into Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science and Law.
All Direct Entry candidates should follow the online application procedure as stated above and also obtain the eTranzact PIN (payment Voucher) for Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma post UTME online application form at a fee of Two thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only from any of the designated Banks.

NOTE: All candidates (both UTME and Direct Entry) are to note that;
(i) Technology fee and bank charges, will be charged at the point of purchase of the eTranzact PIN (Payment Voucher).
(ii) All names should be written in full when completing the online application form as no initials shall be entertained.

Duration of Application

The application forms for UTME and Direct Entry (DE) will be available online for completion and submission from Thursday 7th June 2012 to Monday 25th June 2012.

1. On the UNIBEN post UME registration webpage (https://uniben-kofa.waeup.org/applicants/putme2012) Click on ‘Register for application’ at the top left of the displayed page to proceed.
2.Enter your FIRSTNAME as it appears on your JAMB REGISTRATION or RESULT SLIP, and a VALID email address (immediately your login authentication details will be sent to your mailbox).
3.Click on Button below titled “Get login credentials”.
Open your mail to get your login details (USERNAME and PASSWORD) that you will use for all your subsequent logins until you finally submit your application form.
4. Go to uniben-kofa.waeup.org and click on ‘Login’ (at the top right corner of the page).
Enter your username and the password to login.
5.To start the application process, please click on ‘Edit application record’ and provide all required information and upload your passport photograph.
Upload a clear 1” x 1” COLOURED passport photograph with red background in JPEG format only. NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the University of Benin.
