NETWORK ENGINEER SERVER REF: IMT/2010/001
The Job:
The appointee will be required to ensure the successful operation of NLNG’s Server infrastructure through administration and maintenance to meet agreed service levels as well as satisfy the business requirements with particular focus on the user (NLNG Staff) needs.
Scope: Servers, UPS, Operating Systems, Active Directory, SAN, Back-Up, Email and Internet Services.
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Undertake all work in accordance with required technical and quality standards, selecting and using appropriate methods and tools in order to achieve well-engineered product which exhibit the necessary attributes such as fitness for purpose, reliability and cost effectiveness.
• Document all work using appropriate standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.
• Prepare, or contribute to, project and quality plans taking account of the requirements for functionality versus the
constraints of time, cost and quality
• Give technical leadership to small teams. Planning, estimating, controlling and reporting on work performed accurately and effectively in order to achieve targets.
• Carry out full impact analysis of new software releases and recommends upgrade plans. Reviews upgrades and fixes available from system software suppliers and identifies those which merit action.
• Investigate potential and actual service problems and recommending solutions. Develop and use formal procedures to plan and test proposed solutions.
• Develop and use procedures for collection of critical information in the event of system failure.
• Analyse documentation, storage dumps and logs relating to system failures to identify the failing component. Isolates failures and recommends actions to circumvent problems and enable the restoration of services with minimum business impact.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain corrective code, installing and testing the code to ensure a permanent resolution.
• Ensure that operational documentation for relevant system products is fit for purpose and current. Provides advice and guidance to systems development and service delivery start on the correct and effective use of system software.
• Monitor system efficiency against published service level agreements. Monitors both resource usage and failure rates of installed systems and provides detailed feedback to management.
• Produce procedures such as the CM plan, defect/problem reporting procedures, change control procedures, etc, ensuring their compatibility with prescribed standards
The Person:
The right candidate should:
• Possess a Bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Engineering obtained at a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division)
• Possession of MCSE Certification 2003 and above is mandatory.
• Possession of CCNN/CCNP is an advantage.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in Server Administration and Networking
• Be between 28 to 35 years old.
• Possess good communications skills

The Job :This is a 3rd Party Contract Staff Position
Job Objective(s):
The appointee shall
• source and procure goods and services, in the most efficient and cost effective manner while keeping customers fully appraised of the status of all outstanding orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The duties will include but not limited to the following:
- Undertakes procurement activities in compliance with NLNG management controls, regarding the acquisition of goods. Ensure the adherence to company procedures, financial authorities and budget complains.
- Prepare and issue tender documentation, enquires and purchase orders.
- Arrange for commercial and technical evaluation of bid, and ensure that purchase orders comply with appropriate specifications, and applicable terms and condition.
- Appraise the market condition both locally and internationally to identify and develop synergies of benefit to the company
- Develop a sound knowledge of supplier base to maximize their contribution to the business in compliance with the company’s local market development policy.
- Assist with registration of new sources of supply including vendor visit where appropriate.
- Ensure timely purchasing commitments to meet customer requirements
- Identify and recommend appropriate procurement strategies to minimize acquisition lead times, without compromising service levels
Qualification and Experience required:
• A B.Sc/HND in Business Management, Engineering, Accounting, Economics and Finance obtained at a minimum of Second Class Lower Division/ Lower Credit.
• A member/student of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) will be an added advantage.
• 5 years post graduation experience with a least a 2 years in supply management, stock analysis/buying, business analysis and material procurement in reputable company.
• Able to interface and communicate effectively with others in a multi discipline and multi–racial project team.
• Must not be more than 45 years.

The Job
This is a 3rd Party Contract Staff Position
Job Objective:
• To develop and manage a centralized planning and control system for the overall production Project portfolio that will facilitate project delivery within established targets.
• Provide regular key information to management reporting on schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate would amongst others:
• Provide project management support in the development of the integrated project schedule, leading to the creation of the overall project portfolio baseline schedule and its subsequent maintenance.
• Develop and maintain the overall Project portfolio plan at Level 1 to 4, required to develop and execute each approved project in their hierarchy relationship.
• Develop and update the Overall CAPEX Project Plan, progress measurement and monitoring procedures so each element of the project performs the work process consistently.
• Schedule control activities to monitor physical progress against key deliverables and track trends on schedule overrun and under-run and use such trend information to identify timely corrective action to maintain schedule.
• Provide monthly progress updates, forecast completion together with the critical path and trend analysis.
• Assess the impact of approved changes and any deviation from the key project targets and milestones, including productivity monitoring and “what if” scenarios to aid project management decision –making.
• Evaluate bid schedule and review contractor execution plan and develop the key milestone dates for critical projects for alignment with overall integrated Project portfolio. Verify that contractors reported progress is correct and accurately reflected in the overall Project portfolio integrated plan.
• Review scope change request for the impact on schedule and critical path of the project. Prepare
reconciliation between baseline schedule and the current schedule and provide schedule impact assessments to change control process.
• Perform risk and sensivity analysis on project schedules or critical path analysis and evaluate impact on overall Project portfolio plan.
• Apply probabilistic techniques to determine and communicate the possible range of schedule completion dates for the project. This will include tracking schedule risk mitigation efforts, the criticality of the main paths to completion, float consumption and release of the 50/50 schedule contingency.
Qualification and experience required:
• B.Sc. / HND in Engineering, obtained at a minimum of Second Class Lower Division/ Lower Credit.
• Must possess excellent Knowledge of MS PROJECT and PRIMAVERA PROJECT PLANNER
• Have 7 years post graduation experience, 5 years of which should have been in project development and execution in a reputable company
• Possess an understanding of contracting strategy, project optimization and construction constraints.
• Able to interface and communicate effectively with others in a multi discipline and multi –racial project team.
• Must not be more than 45 years

The Job is a 3rd Party Contract Staff Position
Job Objective:
• To ensure Nigerian LNG project documents and drawing are handled, issued and stored in a secured and efficient way.
• Coordination of project document function, primarily aimed at managing document interaction with in-house design team and third parties (either with EPC contractors or Vendors).
• Liaison between the team and AIMS unit.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate would amongst others:
• Make recommendations and proposal for creation, review and update of procedures for registration and control of documents.
• Set up and manage all paper and electronic document management systems. This include information repositories, transmittals, review cycles, progress reporting and QA/QC on document deliverables.
• Configure data control tools and validate data received from external parties – including interfacing with contractors’ database and the inputs to operation databases.
• Receipt, registration and storing of document in Company’s electronic document management system (PACER D).
• Retrieval and issuing of documents/drawings for updates. Controlling issue and return of such document and ensuring updated documents are registered and stored in PACER.
• Ensuring latest version of document are clearly identifiable and that only latest version of documents are available to users.
• Maintaining and filling (where necessary) hard copies of documents and replacing outdated hard copy document with latest updates.
• Producing and distributing hard copies of document as and when required by third parties.
• Ensuring that integrity and confidentiality of relevant documentation is carefully controlled.
• Contribute to defining lifecycle information requirement for operation and projects.
• Implement Records Management minimum stardards.
• Define information Management execution reqirements and develop IM solution for execution.
• Manage document and data archiving and progressive handover to operations.
• Manage document and data delivery (including intergration, consolidation and validation) from Contractors and vendors
• Contribute to projects close out and Lesson Learned.
• Validate as-built documents prior to retenton and handover to Operation
Education and experience required:
• B.Sc./HND in Engineering, Economics or Management Sciences obtained at a minimum of Second Class Lower Division/ Lower Credit.
• Must possess excellent Knowledge of PACER, AUTOCARD.
• Have 5 years post graduation experience, 3 years of which should have been in project engineering / Document control in a reputable company.
• Possess working knowledge of engineering and construction drawings, specification and required standard applicable to Oil and Gas industry.
• Must be proficient in MS Office.
• Able to interface and communicate effectively with others in a multi discipline and multi–racial project team.
• Must not be more than 40 years.
