UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE, ABEOKUTA ADMISSION ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE 2011/2012 ACADEMIC SESSION
1.1 UTME ADMISSIONS
1.11 Candidate must write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and attain an acceptable mark in the use of English (Compulsory) and three subjects relevant to the
proposed course of study.

1.12 Candidate must in addition to attaining an acceptable mark in the Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME), obtain five (5) WASC/GCE O-Level/NECO credit
passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at one or two
sittings.

1.13 Candidates without credit pass in Chemistry at O’ Level cannot apply for any Agricultural,
Engineering or Science courses.

1.14 A credit pass in Biology is required for courses in Science/Engineering Programmes,
Nutrition & Dietetics and Home Science Management.

1.15 Candidate with a pass in Biology may be accepted for Agricultural Programme, provided
he/she has a credit pass in Agricultural Science.

1.16 Pass in Physics is acceptable for Agricultural Programme only.

1.17 Candidates who applied for Water Resources Management and Agro-meteorology must in addition possess credit pass in Geography.

Other Information
Any Candidate, whose score is not high enough to qualify him/her for the chosen course, may be
considered for other courses provided there are vacancies.

The University reserves the right to withdraw at any time, admission offers made, if it is discovered that the entry qualification(s) on which the admission was based, are false or incomplete.
2.1 DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSIONS
2.11 Holders of the following qualifications may be considered for Direct Entry (DE):
OND/HND (Distinction/Upper Credit) and NCE (Distinction/Credit) in Agriculture and Sciences

2.12 All Candidates are required to possess at least five (5) WASC/GCE O-Level/NECO Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

2.13 Candidates without credit pass in Chemistry at O’ Level cannot apply for any Agricultural, Engineering or Science courses.

2.14 A credit pass in Biology is required for courses in Science/Engineering Programmes, Nutrition & Dietetics and Home Science Management.

2.15 Candidate with a pass in Biology may be accepted for Agricultural Programme, provided
he/she has a credit pass in Agricultural Science.

2.16 Pass in Physics is acceptable for Agricultural Programme only.

3.1 MANAGEMENT SCIENCES COURSES (UTME ADMISSIONS ONLY)
UNAAB now offers degree courses in Management Sciences in the following disciplines:
(i) Bachelor of Science in Accounting
(ii) Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance
(iii) Bachelor of Science in Enterprise Management
(iv) Bachelor of Science in Economics

3.11 Candidates must write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and attain an acceptable mark in the use of English (Compulsory) and any three relevant subjects to the
proposed course of study.

3.12 Interested candidates who have not chosen the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
(UNAAB) as First or Second Choice (most preferred institution) can apply.

3.13 Candidates must in addition to attaining an acceptable mark in the Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME), obtain five (5) WASC/GCE O-Level/NECO credit
passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and other two relevant subject at one
or two sittings.
