VIDEOS:UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS (UNILAG) STUDENTS PROTEST CHANGE OF NAME TO MAU (Moshood Abiola University)

The students of Unilag now referred to as Moshood Abiola University or MAU for short staged a protest
today showing their disapproval for what they term "barbaric nature" of the change without consultation with the school.

The students blocked major streets in Yaba and its environs distrusting free flow of traffic.

The ASUU chapter president Dr. Karo Ogbinaka, Chairman of ASUU, UNILAG Chapter speaks against the change of UNILAG to MAU by President Jonathan

These students are really angry at the changed of their school's name. I think they have a point here. Or what do you think?

  1. The awful truth is that there’s also a link between how much money struggling students get from parents, and how well they feel they cope at university. Until Student Finance matches living costs more accurately, student wellbeing will continue to suffer.
