Continued interest, along with strong academic performance, are two key factors colleges are looking for from you at this stage, and it may help with the admissions decision.

Make Powerful Contacts: 

If you have friends, families, or anything; use them. We all know how Nigeria is, so seeking little support in terms of favour from such people may be a plus for you. Don't forget to call on God when you need him.

Detect Opportunities and take them: 

While you wait, be smart. If you see any opportunity from other schools, take it. Don't be lazy, help your parents in their business or chores at home. That will make them to care for you when you eventually get into school.

Get your documents ready: 

It is expected that you have passed one or more of NECO, WAEC or NABTEB as s proof that you successfully passed the number 3, of the 6-3-3-4 education system in Nigeria. Your school of choice will demand for the O'level result/certificate immediately they admit you. They will need to see your Original JAMB result slip, Local Government/State of Origin Certificate, Birth card/Age declaration/Birth Certificate, etc. Get these documents and keep them handy to avoid delays when you are eventually called up by your choice school. Stay informed for supplimentary admission:

when your school is selling supplementary admission forms, Immediately after merit admission is supplementary. During supplementary admission application, candidates can apply for courses they did not originally choose in a particular school.

Look at for scholarships:

Many students dont take advantage od scholarships that they need to get through schools. You need to start looking for such opportunities, they are everywhere. Some organizations are dedicated to helping young students achive their aims. enrol for such, apply for thema and ask around.
Check your state bursary board if they have opportunities for their students, many from NIGER delta has this fund, but some student never make use of this.

Never give Up:
If you dont get admitted eventually never give up. Re-startegise and look for other schooling o[portunities.
start a proffesional course and enhance yourself. Take a diploma or foundation course, dont stay a year without
increasing your value. Education gives you leverage in today's world. Make use of it.

Send a thank-you note/gift:

Most people forget to say thank you to those who helped them on their way to success. Nver be an ingrate.
You may still need this set of people when after graduation--jobs! So send a note, an email a coard, a samll presents to say "thank you" for the admission help and support. First among the list should be your parents and siblings. Then your teachers or coach.
