ASUU SAYS NO TO UNIVERSITY REOPENING AFTER THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC NATIONWIDE LOCKDOWN

By Now...

You've heard...that the Lagos State govt says all Tertiary schools to reopen today in Lagos state, 14th September, 2020

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has affirmed that universities across the country will remain closed until its demands are met by the Federal Government.

It asked the federal government to meet the agreement it had with the university academic body before it makes any announcement regarding the reopening of universities.

It further added that it would unveil its next agenda if the government continues to pay deaf ears to its 2009 agreement signed by both parties.

At LASU this morning, the school was locked out by ASUU members.

However, the school management asked students to come back next week monday...

ASUU is insisting, no minimum wage no resumption.

What will be the fate of the various academic sessions if this continues...

Is this not more than the pandemic?

who is to blame now...?

The federal government?

ASUU?

The students?

or our political class?
