UNN Re-schedule 2012/2013 Post UTME for July Ending

University of Nigeria [UNN]2012/2013 Post UTME Exam has been Cancelled including those that have written theirs.

The report we are getting from the on going POST UME in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka is that the POST UME Exam for those writing on 19th and 20th of june and those that wrote on 18th of 2012 has been cancelled.

CHECK THE UNN CUT-OFF MARKS HERE

The candidates were already waiting for the question paper to be shared before the invigilators told them to leave the hall. Meanwhile those that wrote in the Ekpo Convocation Arena of The University wrote the exam
very late.

They were later transfered to the New Nnamdi Azikiwe Library and they finished their exam around 11:05pm in the night. The report we got later on had it that the whole POST UME has been cancelled including those that have written and those that have not written.

When we spoke to some POST UME candidates, we realized that most of them had the question & answers on their phone while going to the exam hall. The funniest part of it is that they started shading without the question paper which gave the invigilators a good signal of what happened.

How Can someone finish a 1hr exam in just 5 minutes without the question paper.

Information reaching us said the examination will hold between July 27th to 29th. We will give you more update to this regard.

Computer Base Test: JAMB Set To Start E-Testing (CBT) in 2013 UTME

JAMB Set To Start E-Testing (CBT) in 2013 UTME

Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), says candidates are to answer questions by e-testing in the 2013 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The registrar made the disclosure in an interview in Bwari on Tuesday.
He said that by e-testing, every candidate would answer questions on computer and await the marking of the scripts by the computer automatically.

“The board shall be commencing e-testing in the 2013 UTME for candidates because this is what is obtained everywhere in the world,’’ he said.

Ojerinde explained that e-testing would facilitate quick delivery of results to candidates and reduce anxiety by candidates who had been previously waiting longer for their results by manual testing.

The registrar said that e-testing for candidates would be optional in the 2013 UTME to ensure qualitative and total delivery by the board.

He also said that charges for the 2013 UTME forms might increase, due to the cost of maintenance of the computers to be used for the testing.

He said further that the cost of subsequent forms would come down after some years of full implementation of e-testing.

Ojerinde said there would be at least one e-testing centre in one state of the 36 states of the federation for the 2013 UTME.

The registrar said the actual date to start the sales of 2013 UTME forms had not been announced, adding that the board would meet in September to decide that.

This is a welcome development for our Education in Nigeria. This can lead to many things.

1. fast results
2. better admission
3. increase in computer awareness
4. reduced if not elimination of malpractices
5. many students will be well prepared.

FUNAAB TO Admit 3,500 Out of 31,500 Applicants for 2012/2013 Post UTME

The University has made “appropriate plans” for a  smooth accommodation and integration of freshers for the 2012/2013  Academic session.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole, disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen after monitoring the conduct of the Post-University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (POST-UTME), at designated Centres on Campus.

Professor Oyewole stated that prior to the conduct of the examination, Management had determined the number of candidates that could be offered admission, based on the capacity of facilities on ground.

Professor Oyewole revealed that with the parameter used, with a sincere approximation of existing facilities, the University may not be able to admit more than 3,500 students for the 2012/2013 academic session.

According to him, “last year we had 20,000 candidates for the post-UTME, but right now it has increased to 31,500. We have made appropriate plans to accommodate new students; our capacity may not go beyond 3,500 students”.

Speaking further, Professor Oyewole stated that “our intention now is to improve on our facilities by building new classrooms and providing more learning aids to accommodate additional students”.

This is what we call survival of the fittest.
