UNILAG UNDERGRADUATE & POSTGRADUATE OBLIGATORY FEES

The  UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS, UNILAG released to the general public its obligatory charges. which is the fees paid by students on gaining admission and returning students.

The school Management at its meeting of Monday, November 7, 2016 considered and approved the release of the schedule of obligatory charges for the 2016/2017 Academic Session.

This will help prospective students and also current students to have an idea of the schools charges.

please note these are different from the school tuition fees, which you can find here.

2016/2017 Unilag Postgraduate/Msc Results?

The exams are finally gone.

The news reaching me, is that, is was better compared to last year.
if that is true, then expect the cut-off to be higher than what you see below.

Currently, we are in 4th stage now in the process.

3. Examinations
4. Results
5. Admission
6. Registration
7. Lectures
8. Matriculation


Note that both 4th and 5th stage happens concurrently.

NEWS-BITS

1. Results are ready but only availble to insiders, if you have anyone who can help you check please ask them to help you with your scores

2. The exams is over 60%. other marks are

       A. class of degree- 20%

- 1st class = 20%
- 2nd class upper = 15%
- 2nd class lower = 10%

no marks for 3rd class.

        B. Professional certificates - 10%
        C. Experience - 10%

Experience only applies to Professional courses like MPIA, MPA, MBA, MDF, MEM, MPH, MGIS, MMP, MTPM, MIT, MILR etc

3. Results will be out publicly by November ending or early December.

4. Admission will be early December too.

5. if you're sure of your exams, or seen your results, now is the time to apply for transcripts, if you dont have a certificate yet.

6. Info reaching me, many people did well in MBA, Public health, Edu admin, Pgde, Marketing, IRPM, MILR, Economics, Env Toxicology, management
MILD, Risk Mgt, LLM, MASS COMM, Education, Org Behavior, Microbiology, MGIS, MGIT, ARTS did very well.

There were below average performance from general engineering especially Electrical, and Systems.

Business administration did poorly too. Finance and Accounting was poor. Project Mgt and Construction was bad.

English and literature not good at all.

Sciences and most Medicals did very poorly as usual.

overall, its was better than 2015 results.

7. For those that did well generally above, the implication is that the cut-off marks for those courses will be very high.

so  add 3-5mks to 2015/2016 cutoff to forecast the cut-off for 2016.

while those whose results are generally low, should expect same cut-off or lower by say 2mks.

8. Be careful not to give anyone money to help you for admission - 98% are cheats and will disappear with your money, even DSS cannot recover it for you, even if they raid campus by 2.am in the night!

9. If your department did interviews, and you were called admission is 90% certain. but still monitor it, i know of people whose name were replaced last minutes.- keep evidence that you were interview intact.

If you were not called for interview, admission probability is almost zero.

There maybe supplementary list, which will give you a chance, so if you know how to pray, start now...

2016-2017 UNILAG UTME ADMISSIONS CUT-OFF POINTS RELEASED

The 2016/2017 UTME University of Lagos -Unilag cut off marks for Undergraduates admission has been released.
The cut-off marks include merit marks being the highest and 5 catchment areas consisting of
Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Oyo having minimum cut-off marks.

some early analysis reveals the top 5 to be:

This morning many have been able to print out their Exam Pass with dates and time.

From reports it seem those writing CBT are getting results while those who will be writing PAPER TEST has not been able to

What You Should Do Now IF You've SEEN YOUR Exam PASS

1. Print at least 2 copies (print color please)

2. laminate one and keep the other close to your chest

3. Find those who are same time with you and share ideas

4. Know the venue before hand

5. Get all your papers ready for Saturday

6. Tidy up your reading this week

7. make plans for vacation permission in the office.

Leave home on time, calculate traffic into your plans.

Note 

it might rain on that day, so i suggest those leaving very far from Unilag, e.g Ojo, Abule-egba, Mowe, Ajah, sango, down town Ikorodu to get accommodation near unilag for just that one night, to avoid super  story.

ACCOMMODATION

 find hotels at Akoka and book, or nearby, you can still get good ones below N5k
it is better to be close by on that day.

ADVISE

Find someone and 2 of you or even 3 share the cost and stay over night its will be 2k each or 3k each (eclass members its easier for you)

its just for your concentration and its just one night

You cant predict Lagos traffic, hope u know and if it rains, its could be messy.
and the stress of rushing from wherever I dont like it personally.
