All newly admitted undergraduate students whose names are on the Merit Admission List are requested to report at the Multipurpose Hall A, University of Lagos from Monday 21^st November, 2016 to Friday 2^nd December, 2016 for registration as from 8.30am Candidates are advised to follow the underlisted registration procedure strictly.

2. SCREENING PROCEDURE

Stage 1: Screening-Mandatory Data Capture CITS

Proceed to do data capture in CITS at the screening from 14^th to 18^th November,2016.(check the university website for details.

Stage 2:Uploading of Documents

Login to the Unilag Students Portal (www.unilag.edu.ng) and fill the Biodata form, print the Screening Form (students are expected to upload the underlisted documents while filling the Biodata form)

v Letter of reference
v Testimonial from secondary schools attended
v Certificate of state of origin
v JAMB Admission letter (if available)
v Previous Degree Certificate (DE students)

Stage 3: Submit four copies of the underlisted documents to the Registration Officer:

1. Screening Form Generated From Stage 2

2. UTME Result Slip

3. UNILAG POST-UTME Screening Result Slip

4. O’ Level Result Certificate (WAEC / NECO) Or Statement of Result with an online version of the Result

5. Letter of Reference from a Reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servant

6. Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age

7. Testimonial from Secondary Schools Attended

8. Certificate of State of Origin

9. Jamb Admission Letter

10. Passport Photographs (12 copies)

Stage 4: Generate pay advice and proceed to any bank to make payment and then to the screening venue as scheduled.

Stage 5: Faculty and Departmental Registration

Candidates are requested to visit their Faculties and Departments for registration.

Stage 6: Final Enrollment

Final enrolment is compulsory for all fully registered students. This will commence on Monday 5^th December and ends on Wednesday 9^thDecember, 2016. All candidates are expected to submit a copy of the following documents to the Registration Officers as well as Department and Faculty.

Ø Jamb admission letter ( if not previously submitted during screening)

Ø Completed and duly signed Students Biodata

Ø Completed and duly signed Students Information Form (SIF)

Ø Payment Acknowledgement Receipt

Impersonation is a serious offence and anybody found guilty of this will automatically forfeit his/her admission and may be handed over to security operatives.

UNILAG 18 GENERAL GUIDELINES ON ACCOMMODATION OF HALLS OF RESIDENCE

Here are guidelines for unilag accommodation for both undergraduate and Postgraduates students.

1. The accommodation exercise is strictly an online distribution and allocation of bed spaces.

2. Students should note that there are limited bed spaces due to increase in the number of students.

3. Allocation of bed spaces will be on the bases of first come first served

4. All freshers shall be distributed into permanent HoR. Thereafter they will ballot for bed spaces on the basis of their assigned HoR.

5. Students with medical challenges (physically challenged inclusive) should register at the Medical Centre; otherwise their cases will not be treated by the Student Affairs Division.

6. No sales of scratch cards for accommodation. Students are advised to log on directly to www.unilaghalls.com for allocation of bed spaces using matriculation number or jamb registration number as the case is applicable

7. Students should strictly abide by the time table for allocation of bed spaces for each category.

8. Illegal sales or purchase of bed spaces attracts rustication for two (2) semesters; any student caught will be disciplined accordingly, so beware!!!

9. Students must pay their accommodation fee within 3-working days after allocation of bed space, else the bed space stands forfeited

10. Deriving from nine (9) above, another round of balloting will be carried out to give opportunity to students who did not succeed in the earlier ballot.

11. Complaints should be channeled through the online help desk for accommodation. All complaints shall be attended to promptly. No students and staff are allowed to gather in or outside the Students Affairs Office.

12. Re-assignment of HoR based on choice will not be entertained; students with such request shall forfeit his/her allocation.

13. Under no circumstances should any bed space/room not officially assigned be occupied by any student.

14. Students penalised for any form of social and academic misconduct are not eligible for accommodation.

15. Biological form for staff child(ren) has been uploaded online, members of staff are expected to fill, print, sign and submit at the Student Affairs Division (attach copy of birth certificate and last course registration form for the session). Other necessary information will be posted on the University Website and in the Information Flash.

16. All students resident in the HoR shall be issued identification pass/cards, which must be produced on demand at any point in time.

17. All students are requested to avail themselves of information on accommodation through the Unilag Website, Lagmobile and the Information Flash.

18. Allocation of bed spaces will commence in December for the 100 level. Final year and other levels will commence in January.

UNILAG UNDERGRADUATE & POSTGRADUATE OBLIGATORY FEES

The UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS, UNILAG released to the general public its obligatory charges. which is the fees paid by students on gaining admission and returning students.

The school Management at its meeting of Monday, November 7, 2016 considered and approved the release of the schedule of obligatory charges for the 2016/2017 Academic Session.

This will help prospective students and also current students to have an idea of the schools charges.
